My name is Jai. I’m a mum of five wildlings and the face behind the camera at Wild Valley Photography. I live in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland with my five children, my fiance, Josh, a few dogs, horses, and cattle. I’ve always lived rural, growing up watching the sun rise over the Maleny Ranges and set over the Mary River.

I get a thrill from chasing the light, creating the perfect setting, winning over a grumpy toddler, or cracking the laugh lines on a hard-working dad. My work is about connection. I want mothers and daughters to see their true beauty, partners to recognise the strength of the woman carrying their child, and families to feel relaxed, together, and fully present in the moment.

In the lead-up to, and on your wedding day, I’m more than your photographer. I’m your calm presence and trusted confidant. I capture everything you’ve worked so hard to create, along with the quiet moments you may never notice, the tear on your mother’s cheek as she watches you walk down the aisle, or the hug between father and son just after saying “I do.”
